Recently, Penn State administration announced a proposed two-year timeline for the closure of multiple commonwealth campuses . These closures impact the jobs and future of workers across the Penn State system, and our ability to carry out high-quality education and research across the Commonwealth. These actions are part of a larger trend: a lack of democracy and say in our workplace.
Later this week, these proposed closures will be put to a vote by the Board of Trustees. To clearly show that workers at Penn State broadly want investment in our workplaces, rather than divestment, the Penn State Faculty Alliance has organized a letter for faculty, staff, and graduate workers to sign on to calling for the administration to act with fairness, dignity, and transparency. Grad workers are signing on in solidarity for a more democratic Penn State, add your name below.
